Voici un appel à contributions et une conférence qui pourront intéresser nombre des membres du GDR. C’est une initiative du Musée Polin pilotée par la responsable de l’exposition permanente :

 

Dear Scholars,

POLIN Museum, in partnership with academic institutions worldwide, is organizing a conference, “What’s New, What’s Next? Innovative Methods, New Sources, and Paradigm Shifts in Jewish Studies,” to take place online on October 3-7 2021.

We would like to invite you to propose a panel addressing the conference theme. Doctoral candidate are encouraged to participate in a poster session that focuses on methodological issues related to their doctoral dissertation. The deadline for proposals is April 30, 2021.

Keynote speakers include:

  • François Guesnet (University College London), “The beauty of small differences: About Jewish studies and Jewish area studies”
  • Havi Dreifuss (Tel Aviv University), “Beyond traditional methods”
  • Marcin Wodziński (University of Wrocław), “What’s Next? Prospects and challenges”
  • Gerben Zaagsma (University of Luxembourg.) will deliver a position paper on the role of digital humanities in Jewish studies.
